A Deep Dive into DePIN
Keith Dawson, CEO of @Qualoo_Network, headed to the stunning Villa Solana in Koh Samui to discuss the future of DePin and Qualoo’s role in it.
Set against the tropical backdrop of The Gulf of Thailand, Keith joined thought leaders like Aaron Basi | of IoTeX Network, Daniel from DePin Hub, Rik host of @LProundtable and CMO of @enjinstarter, to discuss the future of DePin and Qualoo’s role in it.
Amid laid-back island vibes, Keith broke down how Qualoo’s decentralized network is shaking up the way we think about internet performance. The company is deploying a global network of nodes that continuously monitors and tests internet connectivity, holding ISPs accountable for poor performance.
"We’re not just fixing internet issues," Keith explained. "We’re creating a shared economy where users contribute to monitoring and testing the net and thereafter will benefit from a better internet experience."
What’s DePIN and Why It Matters
Keith dove into the concept of DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks), explaining its approach to improving real-world internet infrastructure, especially in areas where connectivity is poor or unreliable. By using decentralized tech, Qualoo is improving global internet quality while keeping ISPs in check.
One of the major goals discussed in the podcast is deploying 200,000 nodes across the world.
The goal of deploying 200,000 nodes across the world is directly connected to Qualoo's mission of enhancing global internet performance. Each node acts as a mini testing station that collects data on internet quality, such as speed and latency, which is crucial for diagnosing connectivity issues. By establishing a vast network of nodes,
Qualoo aims to gather extensive user-generated data that can be analyzed to improve internet services and provide actionable insights to ISPs and regulators, ultimately contributing to a better internet experience for everyone. This decentralized approach not only empowers users to monitor their own connectivity but also creates a collaborative ecosystem where participants can benefit from shared insights and rewards through the Qualoo platform.
This network will act like a second layer of the internet, constantly monitoring and improving connectivity, no matter where you are.

Later during the pod, Keith highlighted that this isn't just about data collection—it's a way for anyone running a node to contribute and benefit from a better internet.
As the sun set behind them, Keith reflected on Qualoo’s progress since their successful Singapore trip, sharing his global vision for the future:
"We’re building something bigger than just tech. It’s about creating an internet that works for everyone."
