Riding Qualoo's Wave into Token 2049

Recently, Qualoo took part in an X space to elaborate on their experience at Token 2049, which took place last month in Singapore.

The X space, which featured Qualoo’s CEO, Keith Dawson and Eduardo Tapia where the two dove deep into the build-up, the highlights, challenges, and what's next for Qualoo Network.

As Keith put it during the session, "Token 2049 was a game-changer for us, but not without its hustle. It wasn’t just about attending the big panels, but really about those side events where the real magic happened. You get into these smaller, more intimate settings, and that’s where we had the best conversations. It’s not about just showing up; it’s about showing up and actually being in the right rooms."

From the massive main events to niche gatherings, the real value for Qualoo came from navigating this balance. Keith noted that the side events often turned into deep-dive conversations, sometimes more valuable than the high-profile mainstage talks.

Eduardo jumped in, adding a crucial perspective from the tech side:

“As I explained to many participants at Token 2049, one thing that’s clear is the global disparity in internet connectivity. It’s not just a ‘developing world’ problem anymore. Even in supposedly well-connected cities, there are gaps. This validated our mission—Qualoo’s decentralized network has to be global, scalable, and most importantly, adaptable to different infrastructures.”

Their experience in Singapore reaffirmed Qualoo’s focus on building a truly resilient DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network).

It’s not just about informed connectivity; it’s also about transparency, and this event solidified that mission.

Make More with IoTeX Modular Infra Panel

At the R3al World Summit panel, Keith, along with participants from other projects, emphasized the value of IoTeX's modular infrastructure in aiding decentralized initiatives.

Keith highlighted the pivotal role of the DePIN Surf Accelerator, hosted by IoTeX, in Qualoo’s development. The accelerator provided valuable mentorship and resources that helped move the company from POC (Proof of Concept) to MVP (Minimum Viable Product), to Alpha prototype, and ultimately to market launch. This support was crucial to Qualoo's early growth and success.

A key focus fo ensuring the reliability of the network by using verified devices. Keith emphasized the use of IoTeX's ioID (Identity Infrastructure) to register mobile and fixed nodes, ensuring data trustworthiness and verifiability.

Additionally, plans to leverage IoTeX’s WebStream for validating data streams, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of their infrastructure. The modular approach of IoTeX also allows for seamless integration of new features as the company scales and expands its network.

Investor Engagement: Beyond the Pitches

Keith explaining the Qualoo Network at R3al World Event

One major takeaway from the event was investor engagement. summed it up well: "The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, but these deals don’t close on Day 1. We’ve got the momentum and now it's about building those relationships, continuing the dialogue, and locking in those partnerships."

Token 2049 provided Qualoo with several high-profile investor interactions, but as with any major event, following-up is key. The team is now laser-focused on nurturing those leads as they head into their next event in Bangkok.

Eduardo added, "The conversations we had with potential investors were next-level. They’re not just throwing money—they want to understand how we’re addressing the real-world connectivity issues, and that’s what sets us apart."

The Rise of DePIN: Powered by IoTeX

Now, let’s talk about the tech that’s fueling all of this. DePIN is the backbone of what Qualoo’s building. And IoTeX is playing a huge role in making that possible.

As aid during the session, "IoTeX's infrastructure, specifically DePIN Scan, ioID, and W3bstream, has been crucial for our success. We're not just another internet project; we’re laying the foundation for a new kind of global network."

This is where real-world use cases come in. Take, for example, how IoTeX empowers companies like @XNET_Mobile, @InferixGPU, and @UpRockCom.

These projects are leveraging IoTeX’s modular infrastructure to scale and solve real-world problems. You can check out more details on IoTeX's contributions here.

Looking Ahead: Bangkok and the Road to Global Connectivity

Keith and Eduardo didn’t just stop at Token 2049. During the XSpaces he shared how they’re already planning for their next big move in Bangkok with Devcon 7 on the horizon.

"We’re excited about what’s next, but it's crucial to stay focused. For us, it’s about product refinement and deepening investor relations. Our goal is clear: we’re not just mapping the internet, we’re re-imagining it from the ground up." Keith stated.

Eduardo echoed this sentiment, adding, "The next few months are going to be all about execution. We’ve got the attention of the right people, now it's time to deliver."

Qualoo Network ''DePIN Unleashed'' Spaces

The rise of DePIN is undeniable, and events like Token 2049 and the R3al World Summit are proof that we’re just scratching the surface. Leaders like Keith Dawson and the Qualoo team are at the forefront of this revolution, making the future of decentralized connectivity not just a possibility, but a reality.

Token 2049 was just the beginning for, and as Keith said, “We’re not just here to participate; we’re here to redefine what global connectivity looks like.”

During the X Spaces recap, Keith's upcoming in-real-life podcast session was one of the most exciting reveals. "We’re heading to Koh Samui for an in-person podcast. It’s going to be epic—just us, some mics, and a sunset backdrop, talking about DePIN and everything Qualoo’s been working on," Keith shared.

The episode features fellow legends  Aaron Basi of Iotex, Daniel from DePIN Hub, Rik host of @LProundtable and CMO at @enjinstarter.

Together they discuss the future of DePIN and Qualoo’ role in it.
